The Holiday Respite Program accepts individuals with disabilities from age 3 to 21 and those without disabilities from age 5 to 13. We welcome campers with varying disabilities including cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, spina-bifida and autism, to name a few.

Our Camp Manito facility also provides Holiday Respite Camp during Spring break. The participants enjoy the same level of care, education, and activities as Summer Camp.

Camp Lenape

Camp Lenape, serving both Kent and Sussex Counties, is for children and young adults (ages 3-21) with orthopedic disabilities. The camp is also open to all children, with or without disabilities.

The campsite is ideal for campers with disabilities because of the unique accessibility. The outside grounds have paved walkways for easy access for those who use wheelchairs. The setting offers campers an enriched program and promotes the campers’ independence while building their self-esteem. The camp has a swimming pool with an accessible in-pool ramp. The camp has outside pavilions for camper activities and playground equipment for the campers’ enjoyment. The campsite offers activities such as swimming, arts & crafts, music, nature, sports programs and computer enrichment. The camp also features special guests and outings. With a full staff of nearly thirty counselors and trained volunteers, they instill a sense of belonging and self-confidence to the children.

The camp will run from the beginning of July to the second week in August

Thank you for your interest in United Cerebral Palsy of Delaware’s Camp Lenape! We are so excited that you are interested in attending Camp Lenape. Enclosed you will find the camper application along with the essential information to provide you with a smooth registration process.

This is what we will need from you before we can guarantee your camper’s enrollment:

  • Application
  • A non-refundable $30 application fee – ($15 for each additional sibling)
  • IEP and/or BEP
  • Health Packet Confirmation of Financial Responsibility
  • If any of the above documentation is missing or incomplete, the application will be put on hold. A spot will not be held.

*Camp Hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, the fee is $175/week

*After Care is available from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, the fee is $50/week
